Grading Descriptions

Records featured in this list are nearly all Australian pressings. Those that are not will have the country of manufacture shown.

UNP Unplayed, direct from shop or warehouse
M Mint, near new, possibly unplayed or played a few times only
EX Signs of wear, with minor scratches or marks
VG Heavy wear but playable
POOR Rough but plays, will do until a better copy comes along
+ or - Sometimes used to narrow the gap between gradings
wol, woc Writing on label or writing on cover, sometimes followed by a description of the offending mark
cut out, cnr cut, punched Hole or mark made by the supplier to denote deletion or export /import
shr wrp Shrink wrapped unused item
g/f Gatefold
p/s Picture sleeve, used with 45's and 12"s only. If p/s is not shown then the record comes in a plain or company sleeve
wl White (blank) label. The term 'test pressing' is only used if clearly specified on label
promo/sample Promotional record as printed on label
stamped promo or sample Label rubber stamped or overprinted as such
sweat marks Marks on record from contact with plastic inner sleeve. Does not affect play
